2 years ago today, i snuck out of my house in the middle of the night, hiked up a mountain with no flashlight, stared at the stars till 5 am, nearly got attacked by a pack of coyotes and made it home before anyone was awake. Of course, i didn’t go through all this alone. Some time between staring at the stars and nearly getting attacked by coyotes, i had gained someone back from the past. She is now one of the most important people in my life and always will be.
